The goalkeeper was interviewed by Calciomercato.it
TRANSFER MARKET EXCLUSIVE FRISON / He has played in the Serie A too albeit he is not playing at this time. Currently, he is waiting for a new experience that can give him the possibility to enjoy football once again. This is Alberto Frison, the former Vicenza, Catania, and Sampdoria goalkeeper. The intermediary Paolo Bianco and the agent Alessandro Mazzucato are working hard to find a new possibility for the Italian keeper.
Calciomercato.it has exclusively interviewed Frison.
“You are 29 years old but currently, you are not playing after having been part of the youth national teams and of the Under-21. What are your feelings?
I was part of the youth national teams but I've never debuted with the Under-21 because we didn't qualify for the European Cup. I am currently working hard with a goalkeeper coach. I want to be ready for any possibility. Unfortunately, after that period with Sampdoria, in which IÂ never played, I had a few personal issues that I have solved. Now, I feel physically and mentally fine. I want to restart my career.Â
Do you regret something about your career?
I have no regrets. I had a good career. But there's no time for the past in football. It doesn't count. You must do well in the present moment. Venezia decided to replace Russo, who is injured, with Gori. I believe there could be opportunities in January.Â
What are you doing right now?
I am working out at the gym two times a week to strengthen my body. Regarding the reactivity and technique, I'm following a program for the rapidity to transform what I have done at the gym.
Would you be interested in going abroad?
Absolutely. There's nothing going on at this time but I would welcome an experience somewhere else also because it could be exciting to have the possibility to be involved in other football cultures.
Catania has been the best experience of your football career. What can you tell us about that?
I lived two great years there. I debuted in the Serie A and then I played in the Serie B for six months. I have worked with important coaches such as Maran, Pellegrino, and Marcolin. Maran is doing great things with Chievo Verona. I hope that he will train a big team soon.Â
Buffon seems to be ready to retire right after the World Cup. Other important young keepers such as Donnarumma and Meret are ready to be his heir. What do you think about the great Italian tradition of creating good goalkeepers?
There are several great Italian keepers but they have to keep working hard to improve even more. The Italian tradition for goalkeepers has always been one of the best in the world. Â
