Barcelona stepped up interest in RB Leipzig Timo Werner

The 21-year-old forward could replace Luis Suarez

TRANSFER MARKET LEIPZIG BARCELONA WERNER / Barcelona is monitoring the European market to find good players for the future of the club. The Blaugrana have a solid amount of cash to invest in the next transfer window after having sold Neymar to PSG for €222 million.

The Blaugrana are searching for a striker and as reported by the Spanish outlet 'Mundo Deportivo', RB Leipzig's Timo Werner could be the right player for Valverde.

The 21-year-old forward scored 21 goals in 32 appearances for Leipzig last season. Although his contract is set to expire in June 2020, the Blaugrana are confident to sign the German striker. Timo Werner can play as a striker and on the two offensive flanks. In light of that, he could replace Luis Suarez when needed as well.

RB Leipzig purchased Werner from Stuttgart in July 2016 paying a €10 million fee. The current value of the player has tripled. If Barcelona wants to seal this deal Bartolomeu & Co. must be willing to pay around €30m to bring their favorite German striker to Spain.
