Six clubs of the Eastern and Western Conference passed to next round after having played well over the season.

Now is the moment to understand which club is the most valuable. It’s never easy to play a knockout match due to the incredible pressure that fans put on their adored players. The Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs are starting tonight.

Calciomercato.it wrapped up a summary of these matches.

AUDI 2017 MLS Knockout Rounds summary

Atlanta United FC vs Columbus Crew SC

Atlanta hosts Columbus at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. More than 70,000 fans are expected for this knockout round between two teams that performed quite well during the Regular Season.

Atlanta collected 15 wins, 9 losses, and 10 Draws in its first MLS appearance. The franchise led by the Argentine Tata Martino scored 70 goals conceding only 40.

Columbus enters the Playoffs in a better form after being unbeaten in the last 10 matches (6W, 4D). Over the MLS Regular Season, Columbus collected 16 wins, 12, losses, and 6 draws scoring 53 goals and conceding 49.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. San Jose Earthquakes

The match will take place at BC Place. Vancouver’s striker Fredy Montero and SJ Earthquakes’ Chris Wonolowski will lead their teams tonight. Both players scored 13 goals over the Regular Season.

Vancouver is the higher seed and therefore it should be the favorite team. However, in a knockout match anything can happen. Although Vancouver was the first franchise of the Western Conference to clinch a postseason spot the SJ Earthquakes can be dangerous and surprise everyone winning their away match.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC collected 15 wins, 12 losses, and 7 draws over the MLS Regular Season. San Jose Earthquakes, instead, won 12 games, and collected 14 losses, and 7 draws.

This is going to be a very exciting match too.
